Awareness then healing. This came up in a sacred siSTAR conversation this week and I wanted to share it with all of you in the hopes it stirs up something inside of you to follow your own curiosity. There are the three core wounds of the divine feminine (also known as Magdalene wounds) and archetypal energies to move through and heal them. 1.) Bitch wound- this relates to the heart & relationships. Many of us were taught that our identity and self-worth comes from fulfilling the needs of others. So, women who stand up for their needs are often labeled as such. Many of us therefore are afraid of speaking our truth and honoring the highest expression of who we truly are. The way to balance this or heal this wound is through the Queen archetype. The queen embodies grace, power and wisdom. And she commands respect. She is confident and takes control of her own life. 2.) Witch wound- this is the casting out of the divine feminine and relates to intuition, spiritual gifts and being seen in truths that run counter to societal norms or familial culture. This is the fear of persecution or rejection if we reveal our gifts and feminine power. This wound can be healed through the energy of the Wild Mystic/Sage/Wise Woman archetype. The mystics deepest desire is inner peace, and her goal is to live a meaningful life. She embraces the power of her purpose without fear. She allows her wild heart to run free and she takes a stand against unpopular truths. 3.) Slut/Whore Wound- this is the shame we feel from our sacred sexuality, and our desiring, creative nature. The shame we feel for being a sensual being (we must not forget that we were all born sensual beings). For BEing magical creatrixes. In our culture, we are either pure or we are sexy. We are either the virgin or the whore. To heal this we use the archetype of the Sacred Prostitute. Did you know that the word Whore/Harlot is an ancient holy priestess title meaning "the pure and immaculate ones- the wisdom keepers"? And has been wildly distorted in modern culture. The great mother- the birther of creation- was once known as the Great Whore (all references from the book- the Magdalene Mysteries). This archetype is related to eros energy and is about generating a strong compassion- it can be sexual but it is also the root of all creativity. The creation of LIFE itself! I hope you know that IN TRUTH you are a sovereign QUEEN, a WISE WOMAN and a powerful CREATRIX.
