Light beings, Happy Friday, the 13th! When I was a child my mom told me that in our family, despite the fact that it was feared in the culture I grew up in, that Friday the 13th was a lucky day for us. My maternal grandfather was born on this day. Fast forward many years and I learn that Friday, the 13th is actually the day of the GODDESS. GASP! Before patriarchal times, Friday the 13th was actually considered a very powerful day to manifest, honor creativity, and to celebrate beauty, wisdom, and nourishment of the soul. I have a constant curiosity and endless well of love in learning about the divine feminine, the goddess in all of us, and being with her in meditation and growing in her spirit. It feels like a whole body remembrance to me, a becoming. I feel that because she has been hidden from us for such a long time, so many lies have been told about her and ingrained into our culture, that I have responsibility in this life to share more of the truth of who she was and who she is. Sometimes I think I have it all figured out, and other times I feel like I know nothing and have everything to learn. The one thing I do know as truth is this: She is love. And you are also love. This is the truest thing I know. Invitations today: Take out a piece of paper or a journal and something to write with.....and in this moment (or the next few) ...write the truest thing you know today (the day of the goddess). Don't think too much about it- maybe close your eyes- just feel it-connect to your heart space- let it flow. I'd love to hear what you discover if you want to share. & buy yourself some flowers, or in some way honor this day. By honoring this day you honor yourself. much love, alexis/lex
